The Fetching Feathers Kennel in Larkspur, Colorado is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility designed with both performance and comfort in mind. The kennel is housed in a brand-new building constructed with concrete, full water service, and modern electrical systems, creating a clean, durable, and secure environment for every dog in the program.

The facility is fully indoor, heated, air-conditioned, and temperature-controlled, ensuring year-round comfort regardless of Colorado’s changing seasons. Inside, the kennel features 20 spacious 4’ x 8’ interior dog runs, each equipped with raised beds and individualized water and food dishes to provide consistency, comfort, and structure for every dog. In addition, there are five dedicated boarding kennels, slightly smaller in size but still fully indoor and outfitted with the same high-quality amenities.

The kennel sits on a stunning 40-acre property, located just two miles east of Interstate 25 at the Greenland exit, offering easy access while still providing the peace, privacy, and space necessary for effective dog training. The kennel consists of 12 kennels and is heated/cooled by a ductless system, with spray foam insulation keeping the kennel comfortable year-round. Floor drains and an attached let-out pin allow for meticulous sanitation/cleanliness of the kennel environment.

A Wild Mix Of Habitat
Fetching Feathers, Virginia, sits on 200 contiguous acres in beautiful Southside Virginia. The farm contains a mixture of hardwoods, beaver swamp, ponds, cropland, and warm-season native grasses, thus offering ample training scenarios for gun dogs. With two training fields, wildlife food plots, water, and woodland, the farm has been managed specifically to enhance wildlife habitat and dog training success.
